Hello everyone! Today, we are going to get started with the Folotoy product and experience a new way of communicating with AI. Here’s a simple guide to get you going.
First, ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and a server. aitalktoy.com also provides server resources for your convenience.
Power on your device. If it's the first time the device is being powered on, it will automatically enter pairing mode, and you will see the LED indicator flashing in a blue breathing pattern. If it does not automatically enter this mode, you may need to activate pairing mode manually.
Different devices have slightly different reset methods:
- For Fofo-Rabbit: Press and hold the '2' and '7' keys for 5 seconds.
- For Octopus: Press and hold buttons B and C for more than 3 seconds.
- For Cactus: Long press the “Change Role” button until you hear the “Please configure network” prompt.
- For MagicBox: Long press the “Change Role” button for more than 5 seconds to enter configuration mode.
Once reset is activated, the LED indicator will flash in a blue breathing pattern again.
Next, open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone and search for a network starting with “folotoy-XXXX” (no password required). Upon connecting, it usually redirects automatically to the setup page. If it doesn’t, you can also manually enter http://192.168.4.1 in your browser to access the configuration page.
On the configuration page, select your Wi-Fi network (SSID), enter the password, and then click on 'Advanced Settings'.
In the MQTT Server Address field, enter ap.aitalktoy.com
and in the MQTT Server Port, enter 1883. After that, click 'Save'.
The device will automatically restart and enter working mode.
Now, press and hold the conversation button, speak, and release the button to hear the AI's response. Just like that, your journey into AI conversation begins!
